@CarlSöderquist Almost every third heavy armored vehicle from before World War II had such a turret on top, as well as a short and thick gun lower on the side or front.

@CarlSöderquist The time between the two wars was the time of multi-purpose tanks with two or more different main guns, like cruisers. Remember when they made heavy tanks with a cannon from the bottom side. All these tanks also had a front-top turret that looked the same as in the picture. The tank in the picture had its side guns cut off so it could go through the museum doors. Have you ever seen an Israeli in a tank like that... because they don't have museums.
